Overview

The Hangar 9 P-51D Mustang 60cc ARF is a 1/5-scale replica of the legendary WWII warbird, modeled after the Mustangs flown by the 357th Fighter Squadron. Built with lightweight balsa and plywood and fully sheeted in balsa, it offers a durable and scale-accurate appearance. The model includes scale features such as a correctly located tail wheel, functioning flaps, and a three-piece wing with plug-in outer panels for easy transport. The airfoiled horizontal tail sections are also removable.

Additional scale details include a removable scale antenna, gun details, sliding canopy, full-depth cockpit, and inner gear doors that sequence in a scale manner. The steerable tail wheel features doors and is compatible with a retractable electric tail wheel assembly (sold separately). The aircraft is covered in genuine UltraCote® for a realistic, easy-to-maintain finish. Two decal sets are included: “Glamorous Glen III” and “Gentleman Jim.”
