Main event racing requiresperformance, consistency and longevity by selecting the correct tire. TheStalkers tire by JConcepts was developed for surfaces which mature over time,get rough, dry and with extreme scaling to the surface. The Reflex tire, designedby Jason Ruona, in early 2014 has been a success and the Stalker is a chip offthe old block.
The design team checked over thecarcass profile, height and width to assure the best balance of weightand drivability. The Stalkers began with an enlarged square pin which hasslight angle on each side. The angle creates some separation at the top whichgives some bite in wet conditions providing some versatility to the design.
As the pins meet the base of thetire, the spacing tightens considerably giving a stable footing for theStalkers. Using softer compounds such as blue and green, the tire has stabilityand flexibility for fast qualifying. The pin real-estate provides a lot ofcushion for extended main events and when paired with long-wear compounds suchas R2, O2 and Y2, the race pace can be pushed out to 45-60 minutes with ease.
The stacked row configuration andsimple connected pins offer massive forward acceleration. The aligned rowsallow some surface drift making the tires forgiving in sand and bumpy tracksections. The outside pin has been clipped to help drive-ability and ease theinitial turn-in drivers often have concern for. The JConcepts tires include theDirt-Tech closed cell inserts made famous by their gray color and durability.The package is complete with re-sealable, zip-top packaging and backed withJConcepts customer support and racing heritage.

The Stalker tires, in the handsof David Ronnefalk recently took a massive victory in the 1/8th buggy Pro classat the 2018 Dirt Nitro Challenge located at the Fear Farm in Phoenix, Arizona.The current 1/8th buggy World Champion and Swedish Ace driver had this to say,"In qualifying I used the Stalker during my best effort and it showed a lot ofpromise to me and my pit crew. In the A-main warm-up, we knew the tiretread was superior with quick laps on the dry surface along with great wearcharacteristics. For the main, we dropped to green compound because of the cooltemperatures and went to work. I couldn't believe the performance in 45minutes, low wear and great drive-ability. The Stalker is now in myrace-to-race arsenal."
